Bridgit Mendler Bio

BRIDGIT MENDLER
"Olivia White"

Bridgit Mendler stars as Olivia White, the introspective lead singer and songwriter of Lemonade Mouth who recounts the story of how the band came together, in the Disney Channel Original Movie "Lemonade Mouth."

Mendler also stars as Teddy Duncan, a typical teenage girl who's enlisted to help care for her baby sister in the hit Disney Channel comedy series, "Good Luck Charlie." Other credits include a recurring role as Justin Russo's vampire girlfriend, Juliet Van Heusen, on Disney Channel's Emmy Award-winning series "Wizards of Waverly Place," a guest-starring role on the hit series "JONAS" -- where she sang opposite Nick Jonas -- and the 20th Century Fox film "Alvin and the Chipmunks: The Squeakquel."

Within a few weeks of deciding to pursue acting, Mendler landed a guest starring role on ABC's long-running daytime drama "General Hospital," and later had roles in "Alice Upside Down," "The Clique" and ABC Family's "Labor Pains."

Mendler wrote and recorded the song "This is my Paradise" for "Beverly Hills Chihuahua 2," and recorded "How to Believe" for "Tinker Bell and the Great Fairy Rescue," both released by Walt Disney Studios Home Entertainment.

She first caught the acting bug at age eight while attending local acting camps in the San Francisco Bay area. Her early experience led to local roles in both dramatic and musical theatre, and Mendler eventually became the youngest performer in the San Francisco Fringe Festival. Soon she was dabbling in voice acting, which led to roles in the animated feature film "The Legend of Buddha" and the video game based on the comic book series "Bone."

Born December 18, 1992 in Washington, DC, Mendler is currently enrolled in an online high school through The Education Program for Gifted Youth at Stanford University, and in her spare time enjoys reading, cooking and songwriting.
