Disney Channel announces new show 'Dog With a Blog'

To a kid, there’s nothing funnier than a talking animal.
It’s no wonder, then, why Disney Channel’s new show, Dog With a Blog, is a comedy series seen from the point of view of a family’s talking (and blogging!) dog, Stan. He shares his thoughts on his brand-new family, which includes step-siblings Tyler, Avery and Chloe, as well as their parents Bennett and Ellen, as they all adjust to life as a newly blended family.

The show kicks off with dad Bennett (Regan Burns, Wizards of Waverly Place) adopting Stan. When new siblings Tyler and Avery discover that their pooch can talk, they agree to keep it a secret from everyone, including their parents. “As the kids learn to work together to keep Stan’s secret safe, they soon find that his canine point of view, whether in the home, in the yard or in the park, helps them navigate their new sibling situation and, ultimately, becomes the tie that binds the family,” according to a press release.
The show will premiere Friday, October 12 at 9:40 p.m. ET, before moving to its regular timeslot Sunday, November 4 at 8:00 p.m. ET/PT.
